Glenn Beck Hates Free Speech, Is Fine With Military Occupation

Glenn Beck after his trip to Israel:

Here’s the thing: we the Jews are an obnoxious people. We talk a lot. And loudly. But, dude! All of Glenn Beck’s fame and wealth was got by talking a lot and loudly. More importantly, this is also true of Israel:

Israeli forces on Saturday used live ammunition to disperse a demonstration against land confiscation in Beit Ummar near Hebron, local officials said.

Popular committee spokesman Younis Arar said soldiers stormed the rally as demonstrators marched toward the illegal Karmi Zur settlement, built on Palestinian-owned land.

Arar said it was the first time Israeli troops used live bullets at the weekly protest in Beit Ummar. He added that forces assaulted several protesters.

Locals Yousif Abu Maria, 36, and Majdi Zaaqiq, 40, and five foreign nationals were detained, he added.

An army spokeswoman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

One wants to think that riddling a peacefully protesting population with bullets is a more egregious offense than lack of argument decorum. Surely Beck, who is now apparently an expert on Israel, knows about both. Right?

Speaking of Beck’s trip there, here’s Chris Hayes reporting on it for MSNBC with guest Jeremy Ben-Ami of J Street. The former, for anyone unaware, is the finest voice in the MSM on just about everything. Check out his use of the word “occupation.” (Hayes, unlike Beck, has been to Hebron and therefore more fully knows whereof he speaks). Enjoy:
